Outside Play: Our outside playground is used daily when weather permits.
Center Time: An important part of our Preschool Day is spent exploring the various centers in our classrooms. Some areas are available every day such as housekeeping, art, block areas, dramatic play center, reading corner and media tables. Some centers are changed weekly or monthly such as writing, listening, math, science and games. This is a time to learn through play, investigation and repetition with equipment and materials. During this time the teacher works with small groups on various skills and the classroom aide supervises the learning centers.
Closing: The last 10 minutes of class we review the day and quiet down with a story associated with our theme. Each week we will follow a theme that will be incorporated into all areas as appropriate. Our day is then closed with a prayer.
