Terri Barth, MS. Ed.
Terri Barth comes to Harvest with a Master’s in Special Education from Roosevelt University. Terri spent the last seven years in the public schools working with struggling students and providing needed interventions to close the learning gap and increase student success. Terri has background working with students that have had a variety of disabilities and struggles, including: aspergers/high functioning autism, ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, hyperlexia, ED and BD. She is experienced and knowledgeable in the General and Special Education field from lower, middle and high school and has done testing for learning disabilities, observations as well as written many IEPs. Terri is providing Barton tutoring, as well as academic interventions including math intervention, writing intervention along with social skills classes. The drive to lead students to understand themselves as learners so they see how God created them to bring glory to himself. Terri enjoys exploring student’s strengths and weaknesses so the perfect intervention can be found to help them to get caught up and this is what motivated her to study Special Education.
Jennifer Salowitz. MS. Ed.
Resource at HCA was blessed to have Jenny Salowitz join our team as our in-house Dyslexia Diagnostician and Dyslexia Intervention Specialist. She has been a general education at Harvest Christian Academy for eight years and now she currently tutors 15 students, 3rd-7th grade, using the Barton System. These “non-readers” are now successfully reading due to the Barton System. Among Jenny’s other responsibilities at Harvest, she hires and trains new Barton tutors for the growing program.

Andrea Burzlaff, MS. Ed.
Another important member of the team is Andrea Burzlaff, our reading resource teacher. She has provided reading resource intervention to students K-2 for the past eight years. She graduated from University of Iowa with her undergraduate degree and Concordia University with her master’s degree. Andrea primarily uses the Barton Reading and Spelling Program, LLI and Handwriting Without Tears during intervention period.
