    Preschool Curriculum:
Continuity in teaching and learning helps children to develop values, attitudes, learning skills, and interpersonal relationship skills, which prepare them for Christian service. The core values of H.C.A.'s programs seek to continue support for families as the third leg of the church, home, school partnership. By integrating Christian values into the culture and lesson plans, H.C.A. seeks excellence in the education of your children.

We provide a Christ-centered curriculum where children learn through play using a hands-on approach. Our school environment encourages the children to explore, experiment, and socialize in a carefully planned classroom. The setting provides children space for self-initiated activities as well as those that are teacher-guided. Our developmentally appropriate activities will enhance your child's preschool experience and encourage growth of your whole child from spiritual, social, physical, and academic prospectives.

Our curriculum incorporates the following goals:

    • To help children form a positive view of his/her position as a child of God
    • To encourage his/her spiritual development
    • To encourage children to gain independence
    • To learn to work and play cooperatively with others
    • To enable children to express themselves through a variety of media
    • To begin forming concepts of print and math literacy
    • To develop problem solving skills
    • To stimulate curiosity and creativity
    • To be enthusiastic about school
